The twins had their two year old check up at the pediatrician's office this past week. I enjoy these visits (when there are no shots) and love seeing how much they weigh and the other stats they give you. This visit held very few surprises for me as they have really been right on the average curve their entire life and continue to.
Emma Kate is on the 25th percentile for height and weight; 24 pounds and 32 3/4 inches tall. She has been this proportion since she was about three months and the doctor expects her to stay "on the slight side of average." She got an A+ in two year old physical abilities and development (which I think means she moves quite well, understands simple commands, and has about 50 words).
Sam weighs 27.4 pounds and is 33 1/2 inches tall. That places him in the 40th percentile for weight and the 25th for height. Our doctor expects him to level out to around the 50th for both by puberty and hold there. She said he was also on target physically and developmentally, which is always nice to hear.
"I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Your works are wonderful, I know that full well." ~ Psalm 139:13-16
Praise God for your healthy little ones! I love the stats as well!
