I have seen the commercials for Phillycooking creme and was anxious to try it...but I really wasn't quite sure what to do with it. I am not really a "by the seat of my pants" sort of cook, but a basic dinner of chicken, pasta, and broccoli couldn't go too wrong...
I sauteed my chicken a teaspoon of olive oil until brown and simultaneously boiled some orzo pasta. During the last two minutes of cooking the pasta, I tossed the broccoli in.
Once cooked, I drained the pasta and broccoli and added it to the chicken along with the cooking creme.
It was DELICIOUS! I cannot wait to try the other flavors. YUMMY!
We were so on the same wavelength!! On Tuesday evening,I also tried a cooking creme recipe and tweaked it a bit. I got the Italiam creme and after sauteing my chicken breast pieces, I added halved grape tomatoes and some sundried tomatoes that I plumped in hot water. Tossed it all with penne. Good, quick, easy!
ReplyDeleteOK So I have missed your blog for tons of weeks thinking Google Reader was updating it. Apparently I was wrong. The Cooking Creams are on sale at Food Lion this week 2 for $4 and there is a $1.50 coupon spit out machine right by them (at least at ours). I picked up 2 and am looking forward to trying it out. Love all your blog updates and may have to get in on that giveaway!!!!
