We let the kids ride their bikes in the driveway after dinner last night. Of course, I grabbed my camera and got a few shots. I didn't think much about it until a few minutes ago when I downloaded the pictures onto my computer. When I looked at the pictures on the screen, it was as if I had pushed a fast forward button on my camera...look how old these little turkeys look!
this little rugrat is leaving me and going to Kindergarten in the fall...
I haven't forgiven her yet
does every mother want to lock up their children and keep them small forever or is it just me?
what a nut!
and this guy! tough little man...
this picture shows no baby left...he looks so grown up to me!
the tricycle helps babify him a bit...
those red cheeks tell you how hot it was (he wasn't sunburnt, I promise)
but before long, he will leave me too!
then there is this one...
we call her "sweet-and-sour"
she needs me less and less everyday and before long she will want me less and less everyday...
and will probably have the nerve to start Kindergarten too....little stinker
and don't even get me started on this guy, the ultimate button pusher...
but one thing I really like about him right now is that he promised to stick around and never leave me (and thank goodness he is done with Kindergarten)
Oh, I'm the same way! I was teary eyed as my little girls (7 and 9) handed me their Princess dress up and said that they were done with them. (sob sob) When my 7 year old was 2, she wore her Cinderella dress everyday. It was so cute. I'm so not ready for them to grow up. Slow down- please!!!
ReplyDeleteI don't even want to think of Kindergarten! Love the pics...so much blonde hair for one post :)
ReplyDeleteThose pictures make my heart melt! It looks like you're enjoying the summer with your (almost) Kindergartener!
ReplyDeleteLOL about the last "stinker!" Your kids are just so cute. And great pictures! I can't even think about kindergarten right now--but I have thought about Donut's 1st birthday party!
ReplyDeleteMy baby is gonna start Kindergarten this year too. So, you know what I did??? I went and had another. And she's already changing too fast.
ReplyDeleteWhy can't they just stay our babies forever!
They are beautiful, btw.
They are getting so big!!! I still think of Sam and Emma as little babies sitting next to Carston and getting their picture taken when we were at the beach. I see Caroline running in the backyard with bunny while Abby chases her. Such good times! We really need to get together again sometime soon. We miss you guys!
ReplyDeleteYour family is beautiful. Thank you for sharing with us!
ReplyDeletePlanning Brayden's 2nd birthday party has me feeling a little bit like this. Ugh, how dare they grow up and *gasp* go to school!
ReplyDeleteMy oldest startd kindergarten in the fall too. So. Not. Fair! Plus, I'm way to young to be a mother of a kindergartener. :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweet post! I do that too with pictures.
ReplyDeleteYour kids are adorable!
