I love Starbucks. Luckily (or unluckily, really) there is one about a mile away from my house. I also am blessed with Starbucks gift cards from students for major holidays. This year, instead of buying a few $5 coffees, I opted to order the syrups that Starbucks uses in the drinks I love and decided to try making drinks myself.
I bought the sugar-free vanilla and sugar free cinnamon dolce syrups. I love to order skinny vanilla lattes, skinny cinnamon dolce lattes, and shaken passion tango tea with vanilla syrup.
These came with the pumps, which made prep easy!
I've seen some great syrups at World Market, too! Yours don't need to come from Starbucks... I shopped there because I had gift cards.
Brew your coffee as you like it...but make it a tad stronger today.
Heat up 1/4 cup of milk. If you have an espresso machine, you can steam your milk that way. And I'm jealous.
I have a milk frother and I LOVE it. I heated my milk in the microwave for 40 seconds. After heating, pump the lid and it makes the most wonderful frothed milk!
Look at it!
Pour coffee in a cute mug 3/4 of the way full.
Add 2 (or 3. or 4) pumps of syrup.
I used the cinnamon this morning but the vanilla is good here too.
You don't have to order the sugar free ones, in fact, if sugar doesn't bother you they have a lot more flavors to choose from.
Top with frothed milk.
You have a fancy coffee and are still in your jammies!
